You Talkin to Me - Under Contract

“You Talkin to Me” 16.2h gelding sired by Tapiture out of an El Prado mare. This horse was very loved and cared for by his breeder / owner and has had a cushy racing career with vacations at the farm each season. He has come here to find his forever home outside of racing and we will be very particular about where this guy lands! He is a sweet guy with a larger than life personality. He likes to be doted on and fussed over. He is the inquisitive goofy gelding peering over the wall at the neighbor to see what’s going on… he knows all the barn tea. 🍵 Pastured outside at night with another gelding and stalled during the day. He is good for general handling around the barn, stands in the crossties, good for bathing, good to tack etc. Red was a good runner and won his last start in May, we gave him over a month to just be a horse before getting back to it. We have evaluated him both at liberty and under saddle. He likes to work and is eager to please! He’s a big moving, fancy and athletic horse. He was great down the jump chute, scopey and brave. Under saddle, he gave a great first ride. He stood nicely at the block and walked off quietly. He has a long, sweeping walk and was happy to mosey along on the buckle. That said, we picked up the trot and he got right to work! My rider was beaming, saying he was her favorite yet and just a nice ride. He started to soften as the ride went on and showed a great brain throughout. Overall, he’s that perfect medium ride - not going anywhere but not one you’ve got to get after either. Red is a very fun horse that could take his next partner a number of directions! I do think this guy is confident ammy friendly. He showed no silliness. RRP eligible. We have trailered him to new places and he hops right on, hauled quietly and settled in well. Should easily be able to step into a second career!
